As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be a key member of our growing finance team. You will be utilizing your excellent customer service and analytical skills to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our AR processes. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, eager accounting professional to have a significant impact in a fast-growing organization. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate in maintaining strong relationships with customers and the sales team while achieving collection targets.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada.

What we're looking for:

3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivables role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must since the role requires constant communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Ability to demonstrate teamwork skills in a growing team.

Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through tasks with minimum direction, and be extremely detail oriented in order to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.

A knack for learning things on your own and quickly adapting to new environments.

Experience in the tech industry, Netsuite and AR tools such as Tesorio is a plus.

What you can expect:

Generate and send out invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing details.

Follow up on customer payments and liaise with sales teams to get the information needed to facilitate collections.

Process credit memos and adjustments, ensuring proper approval and documentation.

Respond to customer emails regarding billing and collection matters.

Identify and facilitate the resolution of all customer disputes on a timely basis, working with sales, customer success and other internal stakeholders when necessary.

Post customer payments in Netsuite and reconcile discrepancy between payments received and invoice amounts, if any.

Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to improve our AR processes process.

Prepare monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting related to collections of customer accounts.

Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing.

Assist in projects related to the automation and process improvements of AR.

Additional Information

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $70,000 CAD and $94,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
