Electroverse is a multifunctional team made up of product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

As Electroverse is entering its next stage of expansion, we are looking for a Finance Manager to lead on Operational Finance. This will include providing a full range of financial support, reporting, and services to support the efficient and effective running of the team and the delivery of its work.

This is a great opportunity to implement new processes to solve the unique challenges of this business during a period of rapid growth and evolution, collaborating with the wider team to understand how we can accelerate that growth further.

We are looking for someone with a passion for making travel with EVs simple as well as a strong technical accounting skillset and experience in implementing and improving finance processes. On top of this, we are looking for a self-motivated problem solver who isn’t afraid to get stuck in whilst keeping one eye on the big picture!

What you'll do...

  • Implement new financial processes within the team as Electroverse completes the transition to being a separate business entity
  • Work closely with our Strategic finance, Group finance, and wider teams in the business with ad hoc requests
  • Collaborate with departmental heads on day-to-day finance management and suggest product and process improvements for financial workflows
  • Complete monthly management reporting, this includes the preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accruals, liaising with finance representatives to finalise results
  • Ensure that reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards and keeping up to date with new reporting standards that may impact the company
  • Prepare year end financial statements
  • Manage creditor and debtor ledgers, addressing queries on payments or receipts
  • What you'll have...

  • Qualified as a Chartered Accountant
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and ideally international GAAP
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently liaise with stakeholders and external parties
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage demanding priorities and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Proven experience in reporting, compliance, and stakeholder management
  • Continuous improvement mindset in finance processes
  • Familiarity with system implementation - knowledge of Netsuite would be a bonus

    We would prefer someone who can work in our London office but will consider remote candidates. However, you do need to be able to work in the UK.
