About the role:

We are looking for a Sr. Recruiting Program Manager to help enhance, optimize, and ensure that our recruiting programs can efficiently and effectively scale to meet the unique and exciting growth that lies ahead. The right person loves finding solutions, creating efficiencies, building programs, and making things happen.

This role is open to candidates residing in Canada, Mexico, and the US except the San Francisco Bay Area (125 mi. radius from 1 De Haro St, San Francisco) and NYC Metro Area (50 mi. radius from 131 W 55th St, New York)

In this role, you will work on: 
  • Recruiting Strategic Initiatives: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. 
  • Service Model Design: Lead the creation of service model design and implementation to scale recruiting solutions with company growth.
  • Special Projects: Deliver projects that advance the company’s global attraction and recruitment goals such as selection solutions, hiring initiatives, global expansion, and more.
  • Portfolio Operations: Manage the intake and prioritization process for proposed projects across recruiting. Partner with the senior recruiting leadership team to facilitate prioritization of newly requested projects and solutions. Support team-wide portfolio reporting.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles: Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Has 10+ years of professional experience which includes 4+ years in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, or People Operations in a global organization.
  • Has 3+ years of program or project management experience using project management tools (e.g., project charters, project plans, and communication plans).
  • 3+ years experience driving change and influencing behavior through data and storytelling with both senior executives and team members
  • Is motivated by challenge, excited about finding solutions, and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds.
  • Is able to manage multiple projects, with a sense of urgency and clear prioritization. You know when to move fast and when to be flexible. 
  • Has exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Is able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. You know that the work we do is often sensitive and you’ll use good judgment.
  • Demonstrated competencies
    • Strategic thinking: building and driving a short and long term plan
    • Systems thinking: translating business needs into solutions that leverage and maximize our resources (people, processes, technologies, budget)
    • Generating data insights: using tools such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
    • Communicating and consulting: with internal teams and cross-functional partners across geographies and cultures to influence change
    • Critical thinking: identifying underlying connections, evaluating the validity of data and arguments, problem-solving with logical methods to arrive at a reasonable conclusion
    • Proactive: forward-thinking anticipating future challenges and opportunities, taking initiative to address them before they arise

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Communication and change management experience
  • Design thinking skills and experience
  • Google Suite, ATS, and CRM experience

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:

Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually. 

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
