About StealthCo

A PharmaTech Stealth Company Co-founded by Industry Veteran and Redesign Health

We are launching a software solution that streamlines clinical trial financial management workflows by addressing core operational and administrative frictions to reduce sponsor costs and trial delays. Clinical trial financial management workflows largely rely on a combination of paper records, disparate spreadsheets and primitive software. This underpins the largely manual processes, fragmented/siloed data and lack of insights, which force sponsors to be reactive rather than proactive, contributing to avoidable trial delays and increased costs. Targeting the root cause of much of the inefficiency that exists today, StealthCo (Clinical Trial Finance Mgmt) is a planning and analytics platform built specifically for clinical trial sponsors and clinical research organizations.

About the Job

As the

Head of Product

of our stealth venture, you will play a critical role in shaping the product strategy, defining the roadmap, and launching the company's first MVP. Your work will create efficiencies in the administrative and financial workflows of clinical research leading to accelerated drug development timelines. We estimate that the initial addressable market is $2.5B+ with expansion opportunities based on add-on and tangential products!

You will lead the strategic product roadmap, project prioritization, coordination of user input, and design of a new SaaS-based B2B enterprise product to be used by life sciences companies and clinical research organizations. Use of the platform will streamline administrative and financial processes leading to greater efficiencies including faster and less costly clinical studies. You will also recruit and build out an agile development team.

You will report to, and work with, the stealth venture’s CEO. The CEO is based in Austin, Texas, but the position can be fully remote within the United States.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a member of the founding team, owning the creation and management of the product roadmap, product strategy, and vision; you will serve as a product evangelist and visionary for high-value customer prospects

  • Own product strategy and work collaboratively with the Lead Engineer to build a B2B SaaS platform to be used by life sciences companies and clinical research organizations to improve administrative and financial tasks associated with clinical trials

  • Own overall success of the product organization by inspiring trust, fostering interactions, valuing idea sharing, and creating transparency through OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that contribute to the overall success of the company’s culture and growth

  • Manage the product organization’s budget; inform build vs buy technology decisions; assist with B2B sales efforts by serving as a product evangelist for key leads during the sales cycle

  • Analyze, onboard and manage technology vendors to build out the initial product offering, including contractors & software licenses

What you’ll need:

  • You have 10+ years of senior product management experience, specifically with the lean startup methodology

  • You have 2+ years of experience working on a 0-1 SaaS-based product build from ideation to launch (including

    beta testing, documentation, customer feedback)

  • You have 5+ years managing junior and senior product managers, UX designers and leading Engineering Sprints with Engineering counterparts (both in-house and third-party engineers)

  • You have prior experience making buy v. build decisions around clinical, financial workflows and clinical SaaS tools

  • You have experience working with internal and external engineering teams/firms on a highly technical product (SaaS, API connectivity, financial system integrations experience)

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • You have a strong ability to create and own the initial product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and the quantitative analysis to determine features and measure success with definitive KPIs

  • You have the proven ability to use user research and data to build products and understand the tradeoffs when thinking about the end-user

  • You have a deep competence in building either Product or Engineering organizations and coaching teams

  • You have expertise working with engineering teams, and the ability to manage and drive the results of external, offshore teams, through documentation and written communication
  • You have the proven ability to engage and support Product and Engineering talent around systems architecture and design

  • You are technically proficient in evaluating tools, processes, and vendors

Who you are:

  • Strategic Mindset. You have the ability to shape and share a strategic vision for a product while tying your day-to-day work with the overall business strategy. The challenge with a strategic product leader in a 0-1 product is that they “are asked to think strategically, but in practice, they are responsible mostly for administrative tasks".
  • Builder Mindset. You can take ownership of the product build and make sound decisions with limited information. You are able to think about the strategic vision of the product and prioritize the day-to-day tasks to meet that vision. You have the ability to navigate complex decisions, with limited information and make judgment calls. You have the ability to keep things on track and drive results.
  • Ability to Collaborate and Communicate. You have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with executive peers and provide an executive summary of your work, and most importantly why your work relates to the overall business strategy. You also are able to partner effectively with the executive team, have a low self-orientation, and encourage others to engage on ideation, etc.
  • Ability to Empathize with the User. You have the ability to build products with the customer in mind. The “customer” can be the actual user of the product, the payer for the product, or the investor for the company.

You will work out of one of the following locations:

  • In-office: New York, NY

  • Remote: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Additional Information

Full-time base salary range of $160,000 - $190,000 plus equity.
