As a core Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team member, the Senior Financial Analyst will help drive our understanding of financial levers and opportunities throughout WHOOP’s business. They will develop financial plans, projections, and analysis to support and further our key operating and strategic decisions. This role will have direct exposure to leadership, including those on the executive team, serving as a trusted thought partner.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a finance partner for several business owners across Marketing, Growth, Business Development and Accessories, becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Key contributor to the company’s business model and forecasting processes, with an emphasis on demand planning across established and emerging growth channels.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen learnings and accuracy.
  • Advance the understanding of WHOOP KPIs and financial levers to drive further accountability and focus within the organization.
  • Evaluate unique business opportunities and potential efficiencies, providing actionable insights to help inform decision-making.
  • Work across the broader Finance team (Analytics, Strategic Finance, Accounting) to promote the alignment of critical metrics, models, and processes. Identify, design, and develop enhancements, including helping implement a financial planning tool.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for management, investors, and the Board of Directors. Active participation in month close and BvA processes.
  • Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive financial experience in FP&A, investment banking, venture capital, private equity and/or demand planning. Startup experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is a must. Familiarity with SQL and/or other data systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses.
  • Strong, unbiased and honest communicator. Ability to distill and articulate complex data in a clear way that can drive business decisions.
  • Highly organized and strategically focused with strong attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Collaborative and energetic individual with a positive attitude and hands-on mentality.
  • Pragmatic, curious, data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business, Finance or Economics.

    This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
